Hi Carolyn,

Your words are so true. It is a great shame that we dispose of everything so readily, from everyday household itiems, to relationships, to "historical landmarks".

A great photo to help convey your message, which shines through loud and clear. Thanks for sharing!

Hugs,
Connie

Sigh... Carolyn, not a truer word has been said; if discarding one's heredity is deemed mandatory for attaining what they call 'modernity', then I spurn that!
Antiquity has always had its own intrinsic charms -- for me at least, & it pains me to watch them being replaced by those monstrous edifices or some ugly sky-scraper.

Likewise, if one were to dispose off one's own relations (Heaven forbid) citing selfish reasons, would that not be a libel for our society to brook?... There are questions which assail the mind if pondered vividly; there are times when the heart can't be bridled.

"Old order yieldeth giving place to the new" -- I guess we would have to remain content knowing that...

Good to see you my dear friend. I am glad you related to this short poem. One thing that can not be disposed of so easily is the care and concern we have for those we love, both far and near. I trust things are well with you. Tell everyone hello.

Hi Carolyn
Disposable society.
Nothing could be truer. We are fast approaching an age of destruction of beautiful things.
As i said in one of my writing. Recycling.
It is sad. But your writing will definitely send a message, although as you say even tears cant stop it.

Incidentally i have been having a bad time with FS. On saturday i wake up with no inbox, everything wiped out. I had to write to Tom
Not my last post s certificate expired without it getting to the fans. I feel let down by them. Even the pictures I tried to use just disappeared.

Carolyn,

Your haiku was tremendous as is typical coming from you. The message sent in your notes should be an advertisement somewhere. It is do true.

So much of our past is bulldozed away in order to build condos that remain half sold, strip malls that are bug and roach infested and high rise buildings built by foreigners. It's sad.

Well told! John

A very poignant and sad poem about the destruction of old historical structures, I've travelled the world and gazed upon history in the old historical ruins and those in relatively good shape, and would hate to think they would vanish from the earth, irreplaceable treasures! Well written short haiku poem which addresses an important historical issue! Well done, should do well! Good luck, Carolyn. Roy.

Thanks Roy, when I travel, my greatest enjoyment comes from the historical and antique realms. Like you, it is terrible to know of some of them being removed from this earth. I appreciate your kind review and well wishes. :-) Carolyn
