Lovely thought of profound simplicity in this Shakespearean Sonnet that is upbeat and delightful to read, as well as teaching poetically about true unfathomed beauty. Very nicely done. A joy to read. Good luck.

This is so true. For most anyway. I was always drawn to the sand. I wondered how the ocean and the sand knew where meet. Maybe that's because I live far away from the beach lol.

How can you go wrong with a pic of a baby. Loved the baby pic. Below was a favorite line; don't know why, it just fit.
[this minor part was cast instead of skipped.]
Didn't quite understand line below; but it didn't take away from this great poem.
[they are the stage without which there's no plot.]

This is a wonderful poem. I love the message that it has- so often we ignore the "little things" that make everything possible.

This is a lovely poem Brooke reminding us of how important it is to appreciate what even seems most insignificant that makes up our lives. As always, your sonnet is written perfectly and has a nice flow! (At least Sawyer appreciates the sand!!)
Thanks for sharing :)

Wow! I really enjoyed reading your poem. It was easy to read and follow and the message is clear. There is nothing insignificant in this world, but unfortunately, we are so often focused on the 'bigger and better' that we fail to take note of the foundations without which the 'bigger and better' could not have been built.

I wonder what goes through the head of a child when he examines natures wonder.
You have included this picture which enhances your poem. The words are a meditation to realise the importance of seemingly insignificant things.

Dear Brooke,
I'm always fascinated how you can take an everything thing and turn it into the sublime poetry you do. yes...the sand, only appriciated in the aggrigate, but you've seen it in another light. Beautiful job--Ted
