Very sweet, Jan. I think you have a knack for children's writes, albeit, it is very difficult to write for children, as the venue has many guidelines that should be followed. I think many a new writer figures is an easy start with children's books and stories.

This is a delightful poem as Nanny plays Barbie dolls with a granddaughter. The imagery in the piece allowed my mind's eye easily to see the action. The rhythm and rhyme are excellent as is the underlying story.

It is well written, and I enjoyed the read.

Your poem reminds me of my granddaughter's two doll houses (which I still have set up) that we used to play with when she came to my house. She always got to play with "the big one," and I had to settle for "the little one." Great years! Nice poem, with good rhyme and meter.
