Excellent poem. We should all face death in such a manner. My birthday is May 1. I'm 54. Just a bit of trivia. Your brother would be proud your wrote about him.

What a beautiful way to remember your brother! Thank-you for sharing with us. The picture lets us know who he was and the 17 syllables speak for themselves (while the author note elucidated, I believe your poem was sufficient). Peace to you and your family.

Its a painful episode to feel
you seem to feel alright inspite of the
hand of death taking you, the extreme
in life happening
Yet knowing its the way God separated you
from the world of living.
