Hullo Adewpearl ....

Like you, I often marvel at the beauty of the Dandelion flower of which we have so many growing here.
Using your chosen Quatern format, you have presented us with plenty of vivid imagery and I enjoyed reading what you have written.
Thank you for sharing this with us and I wish you well in the Contest.
With love from ..... Nanette Mary.

Very nice, even with the modification of the final line! And you may be the only person to pick the dandelion as a favorite flower! I always thought they were lovely, but that may be because my dad used to tell me, "Go pick all the pretty yellow flowers in the yard for mommy." Back then I thought I was doing something special. Now I realize he was getting me out of his hair! Jordan

Very impressed with the "G" alliteration in this very colourful poem. The colour of the background sets this off.Like the rhyming patern and this was such a joy to read. This is an excellent entry and very good luck in the contest.

This is so cool Brooke. I really like the Dandelions as well. I know they are suppose to be a weed, but when they are in bloom all acroos the yard it always looks so cheerful. I hate to mow them, because then the yard is just a bland slate of green. Great poem and good luck in the contest.

Hi Pearly One,
This is a beautiful, lively poem. It reminded me of the one that you wrote as a tribute to your daughter some time ago which I enjoyed so much. It also reminded me of my daughter in law. When she came from the Philippines, she had never seen dandilions before and she thought they were just terrific. I agree... they are lovely to look at but not so fun to dig out of the veggie patch!!! Great poem.
Hugs, Whizpurr ^-^

Hi, Brooke, Who are we to decide which are flowers and which are weeds?! I for one love to discover wild flowers in cityscapes. Your ode to dandelions has that burst of brightness, just like the hardy, bright blooms. LOve it! Mary

Thank you, Mary. If they look pretty, smell nice, attract bees and sit on stems, they're flowers to me! LOL Brooke

I doubt many poems have been written in
honor of the dandelion, but it sure is a
bright and hardy one that has no need for
"the aid of human hand." You've given the
dandelion new dignity and recognition - good
luck in the contest! Carolyn

Brooke, this is great!!! The dandelion is so overlooked...you have given it its props. This form (quatern) is a good choice for expressing your words. Nice flow and rhyme...this will be a very strong contender in the contest. Wish you best of luck. Hugs and smiles, Susanne

I believe that dandelions are flowers too -- and they make great wine and wonderful chains for golden locks and little wrists. Lovely, really lovely write - best of luck in the voting booth! Lea Ann
