Oh, we've just had a quick flurry here in UK. Enough to look at and admire as it fell through the air, but not enough to hide the grass... I've growwn to like the minute form, and this one pleases me with its delightful imagery, especially, "A gust of air assaults packed flakes,"

As a floridian, how I wish to see such scenes from my window. However, I'm sure by this time of year it get very old. It's still warm in late October sometimes November here and that gets old as well. Can't have it both ways I suppose. Very well written with a good message even if unintended. God's creation is free for us to enjoy.

This is a great poem the pays homage to the beauty of nature. I love the peace of snow, although I hate the inconvenience. If I remember to appreciates the blessings of nature, I'm much happier. Thanks for a nice reminder.

I love this poem and the imagery it evokes. I love the line Trees' shadows painted on the snow" God's gallery
I two prefer formal poems. Your rhyme scheme makes this poem flow and you have chosen the perfect picture to illustrate it.

Brooke, this is a wonderful 'painting" of words!
My favorite stanza is the 2nd, although, they are all full of imagery and are beautiful. Always love your Minute poems.
Thanks for this lovely piece,
Sue

I have always had difficulty with quatrains and anything that I have to adhere too. You make it look easy. You have definitely described what is out your window.

There is nothing so beautiful as Mother Nature at her best. Last week I noticed the beautiful red buds on the maple tree next door. I took a photo of a cardinal sitting in the tree and thought, spring is on it's way. Yesterday, I took a photo of the same maple limbs with puffy tufts of snow. Never underestimate Mother Nature.
Great poem with a lovely illustration.

Brooke, this literally brough tears to my eyes. Probably THE best minute poem I've read since joining FanStory. You have BRILLIANTLY showcased the priceless and free beauty of God's creation. Wish I had a ten. Just outstanding. Thanks so much for sharing,
Heather

This is beautiful. I had to read it more than once to appreciate the beauty behind each line describing God's work in His every gallery in what we see. Great job!
