I am not scared of spooks, but I am of this. I was caught in a blizzard when I was six, I never forgot it. I couldn't breath, I couldn't see. An old lady rescued me.I was almost frozen to the railings. Its life we need to be scared of, from then, I've always believed it so.

Thank you very much for your compliments and review. Maybe I have no sense, but that is the weather I trudge out in, I have taken a couple of young people to safe harbor. Thank you for your compliments and review.

You are so brave. In a white-out you can't see to breath. How on earth do you overcome that fear?? V,xx

I don't know, I guess it's learning that things aren't really as bad as you fear, you know how, not to make things worse. Also a little bit of faith and a hell of a bad sense of humor. If you ever seen Doctor Who, you know what I mean.

I know what you are saying, but snow gets everywhere. At that time I had a little coat on, and I was really small for my age. I think I ate more snow at that time than any other time. Haha.

I understand and got myself stuck in a couple situations at that age as well.

Another great piece, Mike K2. I read one earlier this morning before I went off to work for a few hours. I only noticed one spag issue as I read and noted it below:

The worlds whipped up >> The world's whipped up

This is a great poem. I have seen much about Antartcia and have been interested in the survival of the inhabitants. The poem
is well written and very well chosen words to make us see and feel the "killing" conditions of the low temps. Excellent.

Mike,

I guess you dropped your "cool" thoughts in a hurry. Fortunately, we don't get weather like that in Georgia, although a blizzard shut our home town down back in 1993.

I enjoyed the poem and can't think of anything to criticize.

No, you don't but freezing rain has occasionally reaked havoc down there. Thank you very much for your compliments and review.
