This is clever and witty. I like the fact that Leo is looking for a queen (he himself is of course king of the jungle), and the characteristics of lions arew interwoven skilfully in your piece. I like it a lot.
Well done!

I fell about laughing at this one and I loved the animalistic love making bit! Of course the female generally does all the hunting so this is why this guy wants a mate. He would rathe be sat in front of the TV with remote in hand. Just kidding, I loved this realistic dating ad, love Dolly x

Well, Leo, shouldn't be lonely too much longer,
Kahpot. With your help, he laid it all on the line
about what he's looking for to relieve his loneliness.
He's a proper lion who wants a partner to enjoy life
together as only lions can. While some of his requests
may sound odd to other critters, to a female lion, they're perfect.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Loved your entry, Kahpot! This was so cute and I liked that Leo doesn't want just a cook with great looks but a real companion to share life with him. You captured the lion's specific nature well.

The hardest thing about commenting on this piece is finding one hundred and fifty characters. I found this short entertaining, and humorous. I mean a talking lion. I wish it luck. Well done.

This poem is very ingenious! Love the approach you took when writing from the position of the lion himself really good! And the fate of the lion and all the other African animals is prevalent and real and up close. It certainly reminds me of the issue.
Having said that, I find your poem aesthetically pleasing in the sense that there is no spelling or sentence structure errors no grammatical issues that I can see.
This is a great submission and I wish you all the best in the contest!

With a proposal like this, I don't see how any honoring female could ever deny Leo of his deserve to have a female and his life. The great outdoors would be enough to draw most females of his ilk into his lair. Patricia
