Ah, this is a fun read! The picture pairs perfectly and, true to Haiku, the poem is vivid! I really liked the description as well as the somewhat mystery of it.

Hi
this is great, there is something so iconic about a Mason jar and the double meaning of it all.
The photo is super as well...I wonder which came first...
I hope you are staying safe.
Be well,
padumachitta

You have made excellent use of your seventeen syllables in this descriptive, touching poem. "Preserving" is cleverly used, giving the poem a nostalgic touch, while appreciating the present.

Gypsy,
What a 'cool' idea you have preserved for my reading pleasure this day. You selected an interesting photo for your ekphrastic poem - do like the total presentation. Your Mason jar is a great visual at different levels.

I have learnt something new today! In a few words, you have expressed the essence of winter so succinctly. I am inspired to learn Haiku. It looks challenging. Thanks for sharing. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
