I do love the word "surcease" and you have used it so marvelously here, Brooke

Also love this repeating form.

Seems like we were both having the same grand morning.

Hugs, you fan, d

Again, I'm lovin' this mirage form! Excellent poem that invokes the peace of early morning. I'll have to look up the word "surcease" (learn something new every day, eh?). Thanks for introducing me to this form, I'm looking forward to playing around with it.

This poem really appealed to me, particularly the last verse in which I thought the wording was most astute, Brooke. I like the Mirage form - very 'poetic.' Giddy

Great poem, I truely enjoyed all the way through. All the rhyming was good and it just moved along so nicely. So great job.

Hi, Brooke, I like this so much: the hush of dawn so calm. But then the whole mirage poem stresses on this special moment when silence speaks so well about peace...:) Love this soothing poem so much. The repeating lines do their job well...:)

I enjoyed the poem. It sounds good. Nice form. However, I did not understand this line, "silence forms a wordless psalm'. Because Psalms are personal belief or messages about God. How would it exist without words?

Brooke,

This is another beautiful poem so skillfully written. The story it tells is one of calming words and thoughts. I enjoyed the read.

Thanks to your thoughtfulness of word selection.

Often so true, a sharply, yet courtly HUSH is equal to the dawn's tender shyness as my star fades until twilight's surcease has found the sun's last song of day.

This is a lovely peaceful read of the coming of dawn. Beautiful artwork and the black and white setting goes very well with this poem It is a lovely peaceful read and very much like the peace of watching dawn break or the sun set.

"Nothing is so much like God as silence." I don't know who I quote, but I know it's true. Your lovely poem says much the same thing in your inimitable way.
As long as our brilliant innovators keep inventing new forms, you'll be there to bring them to full potential. What a wonderful combination. A mirage form. Wow! Brilliant.
