Another lovely addition to your Book of Sawyer!

For a long time now I have made it an evening effort to go outside and look up at the sky - regardless of the weather - just so I don't lose sight of the beauty and mystery of the night.

Children do it naturally and it is amazing to see their eyes widen and occasionally mouths drop open!

another very nice offering.. AT=/

It's true, nobody knows till they open their eyes and heart using their imagination! Children are experts at this, as everything seems magical to them! I know Sawyer will love this poem, Brooke! Best wishes in the contest! Good rhymes and alliteration noted! Thanks for sharing this with me.

Great! It is much better to look up
than down all the time. This is a
good ABC poem with good rhyme..
That is a great picture. Well done.

Hi Brooke, the mariposa puzzled me for a while, until the author notes! This is a gorgeous little delicacy! I don't think anyone does this type of imaginative thinking as well as you! You have produced a good one again! Blessings, Roy.

Brooke, It's a coincidence that your writing this during a nearly full just been full Moon. "till they left their eyes to see" : This could be symbolically to totally transcending universal understanding to the universe around themselves. That is my interpretation. Thank you for sharing them posting this for everyone and may you find peace always wherever you go.

Nothing can be as attractive as the power of a full moon, tugging at lover's hearts. The light kiss of the butterfly seals the transaction. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read. Note, I search all over, but I didn't see Sawyer. (LOL)

Thanks so much, Charlie - if Miranda ever sends a good shot of him looking up at butterflies, I'll change the picture :-) Brooke

What do you use to touch up your photos?
reply by the author on 15-Mar-2014
Miranda is the one who posts the photos on facebook and then I just transfer them to here. I know she sometimes uses Instagram, which lets her do things like turn color photos into black and white

Very nicely done. The presentation is delightful. I love the references to Luna and Mariposa (They sound like baseball players eg...Mariposa hits a line drive to Luna on second base !!!Ha Ha)

How full of wonder your words are, my friend. Through the eyes of a child and their innocence, all things are possible and beautiful. I wish you the best in the contest. Blessings

Short and very sweet and as always picture and color perfect to enhance your lovely words. I often wonder if there is any form that you are not comfortable with and I suppose I wonder because I am just not comfortable with any. Thank you for a pleasant read this afternoon - Dinah

Thank you so much, Dinah. There are a few forms I've never even tried because they just don't appeal to me, like the crown of sonnets and the cleave poem. Brooke
