I had forgotten how lovely a triolet could sound. Crime and poacher, stolen go together in a positive way here. What an adorable picture. Can't decide if Sawyer's indifferent or on the way to heaven. LOL

Thanks so very much, Spitfire. Who can figure any guy out when it comes to matters of the heart? LOL :-) Brooke

How very cute. Love the look on Sawyer's face, it's hilarious. One can imagine his little thoughts at that moment. That silent protest. Another one that would adorn a birthday card.

Thank you so very much, Pete. The funny thing is that though he looks a bit put off every time this delightful little girl hugs or kisses or nuzzles him, the minute she goes home he starts calling her up on his play phone. LOL :-) Brooke

I can't tell if Sawyer is delighted or not by the kiss--perhaps surprised? What a delightful Triolet this is, and those first two lines are just so clever. I love this!

Thanks so much, Connie. I know he has a big crush on Chloe because he talks about her all the time when she is not around, but he goes all shy when she gets cozy with him. I have all kinds of photos of her hugging him where he looks a bit apprehensive, but then she goes home and he calls her on his play phone over and over. LOL Brooke :-)

OMG! That is so funny! Sounds like Sawyer is already into girls, and he must be a whopping two or three years old now. The way things are going these days, he will probably have his own cell phone in a few years and can make real calls. (Kidding, of course--sounds like Miranda and her husband are too level headed for that.) The little boy next door to us actually picked up his mom's cell phone one day when they were visiting and called his dad's cell. I think he was four at the time. What's next?

Sawyer just turned 21 months - what can I say? he's precocious LOL He insists his mother call me quite often - he starts chanting, "grandma, phone" until she relents :-) He loves to say "Hi, Grandma" and "I love you, Grandma" and "Bye, Grandma" :-)
Chloe and I are both his girlfriends LOL

Cute picture. The line: "a stolen kiss is not a crime," is a perfect repetition. It's what the whole poem is about. Affection for the poacher's heart. A great little
triolet! Les

Oh, Brooke, this picture is priceless! The boy seems to not know quite what to do with this girl hanging on him. Cuter than words. . .well, your words were cute, too. Linda

Thank you so much, Linda. Miranda has so many good pictures of these two together that I've told her she has to make sure they eventually marry so we can have a great slide show of their relationship over the years :-) Brooke

'A Stolen Kiss.'

and I'll not rest until you're mine,
for life falls short when we're apart.
A stolen kiss is not a crime
if love is in the poacher's heart.
How wonderful is this? Even children feel great affection for each other. Sawyer never saw this one coming. Well done. Brooke.

AWWWWWW! LOL! I don't even want to say anything else! AWWWW! Hahahaha - and that's just for the picture! (LOL) Sawyer doesn't look too pleased/sure.

What a sweet triolet. I love the use of 'poacher' here too. Only you would think of it! :)

This was very cute and a lot of fun to read aloud. I like that you used the word poacher as it gave it a whole different feeling. Nice style and rhythm. I enjoyed this very much.

Yes I just bet it falls short if the pic of the little sweethearts is anything to go by. LOL
Such a cute little Tri here Brookers and it looks like he has the ladies fawning over him already. Give him a notepad and a pen and an afternoon with Grandma and he'll be giving William a run for his money. Fame, fortune, is there NO end to his potential talents? Nope.
Best lines were the 1, 4 and 7 repeat and the fact he WOULD not rest until this little sweety pie is ALL his. Gives new meaning to "mine"...haha
A bit possessive ain't he? LMAO So cute you are, when you put the size 4's on sweety.
Hugs Phillippa
