Excellent Poem! The poem is extremely thought provoking and deep. The author did a great job in just a few words
having the reader look deeper. The artwork was perfect and complimented this poem. Thank you, harmony13

I guess that's about a person that doesn't feel he owns his destiny. He feels like life is always taking him somewhere he didn't want, or that he might want, but he didn't plan. So he feels like an object sometimes.

Thank you very much for your original review and view. I love looking at all the different things that people see in my poetry. Sounds like the character development of a pretty cool protagonist-hero. :) mind if I use that? :)

Very thought provoking poem. I'm certain everyone has had moments when they've felt lost and helpless with the way something has turned out. Just got to hope the tide is kind and gets us to where we wanted to go.

Your very short poem painted a vivid picture of the kinds of decisions we all make sometimes. The first line was a very strong line. i found the second line quite a bit weaker because of the ode style which didn't rally seem to fit. The last line was excellent and pulled it all together.

Thank you, I love the old English type of writing, and it stuck and fit with the syllable count. Thanks for the review!

Deep, thought provoking little message in this fine poem. How did we get here when we don't know how to steer? Loved the picture and the words.

Hi Gabriel,

This is one of those poems that begs to be read more than once, which I have done. I think all of us have embarked on a project only to find that it is beyond us and wonder why we started it in the first place. This is an excellent 5-7-5 poem and I wish you the best of luck in the contest...chey

Very thought provoking. You presented this well. The pier is a complement to your words. I think we have all been there at some point in our lives. Good luck in your journey. Nice job.

At the pier, the stone is not a real stone but stone as in stunned by what we see at the pier. the boat had gone out and we cannot return back.
Where is the boat and when will it come back?
Will I be left stranded here in what i have pursued all my life as in love, a career and maybe even a writer.
How long must I wait before the boat calls Home, smiles.
This review is subject to a few interpretations. Take the one that truly describe you thoughts, smiles.
Cheerio, Ritchie. :))

    Hi G,

Sorry for the earlier reply which i type for the succeeding replies, LOL.
What I meant to say was that many poems leave the interpretation as an open ended story. Well done on this one. i kept wondering why the stone was doing there and it dawn on me only after I started writing the review. Good metaphor and imagery. Maybe without the author's notes, there will be more interpretation coming your way?
    Cheerio, Ritchie. :))

Surprisingly, not many people ever read the authors notes, and I just meant them to be a guideline. I still see many different views :) my favorite part
