Dear Brooke,
LOL. Great ending. I can see all that yellow color in your lawn. Did you see the movie, "Her?" Spike Jones did an excellent job of creating a sterile world by using subdued colors. No brightness there. Your poem also made me think of the book "The Giver."
Well written.
Warm regards,
Winslow

Well, Brooke, you've done it once more. Lovely little poem with perfect rhythm and rhymes. Nice picture to go with it, too. I enjoyed reading it. Miss Sally

I always have a smile on my face when I come to the end of one of your charming poems, Brooke.
Of course, God visited your lawn ... with splotches of butter .. didn't he? :)
Have a beautiful weekend.
Love,
Sonali

Beautiful images, Brooke. Especially the lady bug with the polkadot behind. :D The "do" in the penultimate line makes me stumble. Could just be me, though... :) Nancy

Hey, it's probably the benedryl. :D Nancy
-
I think there is a poem in there - blame it on the bendryl, or maybe even a country song LOL
-
Oh, definitely a song. We'll have to get Lee to write it. :D Nancy

adewpearl,
Your thoughts are well described. Very reflective, all thoughts are very well described, understandable and comprehensible. The rhyming is well done.
There was no SPAG, no typos, no room for improvement.
I look forward to seeing you again.
Love you,
Oatmeal

This poem highlights and important point about our Creator. He wants us to enjoy life and so He gave us the five senses and seeing in color is one of them. Really seeing in color adds to the joy of life. Very uplifting poem and written without any forced rhyme.

I'm so glad you included the color blue, my favorite color that gives me so much joy. Loved the Lady Bug art and the content of God's awesome coloring book...the earth.

He3 visited mine too...to my mother's dismay. Maybe that's why yellow has been one of my favorite colors since my childhood. Wonderful poem and you touched on everything that could possibly make my heart smile. I'd give you a 6 but the site won't let me.
