This is very cute. I love the images it evokes of the little children going around trick or treating. My little three year old grandson tells me he is going to be a 'mean carrot.' (I don't know how mom is going to achieve this.) I liked how you created the lines: "If Jack...through pumpkin skin..." Inventive.

This was an excellent minute poem, and so appropriate too, for this time of year. I loved it. But it is more than that... it is clever, perfectly wrought, and fun to read. In fact, I think it should be published.

A Great little children's poem. The picture is also perfect for it. For a minute poem you seem to have captured that form brilliantly. And then you end it in a classic way by saying, "Then don't be mean;

I am Australian so Halloween means absolutely nothing to me as well. I base most of what I know from stories and television out of America :)

its nice. and light hearted. and simple isnt it? i quite enjoyed it. you kinda knew that it would end with a cute, little point and then an exclamation point. i like the picture with the poem. not so much the background colour even though it does remind me of a pumpkin which is appropriate. erm.. nice. i liked it.
