Hi Brooke,
Nice lines celebrating the union that exists between a mother and her child, a bond that is very strong. Nice lines and a nice tribute to you both.

Brooke, this is splendid. Having a son of my own, I can totally relate to this perfectly constructed poem. As mother's we ahve to understand (as your poem points out) that we have to let our children go in order for them to return. I love your closing line it is a combination of love and respect. Nice write. deb

Thank you, Deb. I just had the nicest phone conversation with my 30 year old baby boy. I still wish I could hug him good night at the end of each day. LOL Brooke

This has a very good flow and I liked the way it read. Isn't it wonderful how a mother thinks about her child, even when they are grown they are still our babies.

Brooke, this is THE most beautiful, gentle praise to mother love. Thankyou for sharing this with us.
Of course, you know that children are only given to us on loan.
Pat.

A beautifully written poem of a mothers love and adoration for her child... Very sweet and sentimental.. Spoken with much truth and honesty..A child truly knows he always has his mom on his side no matter what the difficulty...great job

Delightful!
I know the truth of this one:
I know he is not mine alone,
nor does he live for me to own,
but even now that he has grown,
he knows my heart remains his home.
Am having lunch with my own son tomorrow. He called to tell me February was booked, but the end of January looked good.
I am still laughing from that one.
A lovely write.

February booked - yeah, their lives get amazingly busy once they are all grown up and have their own ten yard long list of responsibilities! Thanks so much for understanding this perfectly. I'm glad you can relate - make the most of your lunch :-) Brooke
