I'm usually up before the sun, you captured dawn, and as daylight chase away the night, I can also feel my mood lighten. You captured all this in your poem.

Beautiful poem
You are so clever with the ottava rima.
Yes it's a mystery and makes one wonder of this beautiful gift and each day how our-

doubts encased in darkness are dismissed,
misgivings chased away by gleaming light.

I really enjoyed your contest entry poem, "Early Morning Wonder" Each line is very smooth. I especially enjoyed these two lines: "As sunlight streams through early morning mist"
and:
"my doubts encased in darkness are dismissed," Your poem has wonder and a great message. Your rhymes are perfect as well as your presentation!

"and dawn removes the ebon veil of night..." Lovely poem. I especially love that second line, VERY descriptive! Wonderful job and good luck in the contest.

Hi Brooke. Good morning to you! I love your ottava rimas. In this case, I particularly appreciated how you chose to use capitalization and punctuation. Plus, your alliteration is always spot on. And, the imagery is delightful. I'm always up at 6:00 am. Dawn is my favorite part of the day. Sue

This ottava rima is excellent, Brooke, and a perfect entry for the wonderment/mystery contest. Technically it is flawless--rhymes are sophisticated and satisfying, rhythm and meter are spot on, and the flow is so smoooooth it is a delight to read.

Beautifully written Brooke. Makes me wanna get up and dance. LOL Don't think I'll try that though, at my age I might do myself some irreparable harm.
