Good solid questions and a good write regarding the purpose of fairies life goes on and so do the fairies as long as imagination and belief go on perhaps that is what fairies symbolize excellent write malachi1206

Dear adewpearl, And all this time, I thought Fairies were just angels waiting to grow up. (giggle) Of course fairies are fairies and angels are not. I like this poem very much, but then I'm a fan of yours now it seems.

Brooke - Fairies have no purpose or plan? Then why is one always waking me up in the morning by licking my face like its her purpose in life? Oh, that's my dog. Loved it. Charlie.

A lovely, enjoyable whimsical poem.
You have a good point as it goes.
What do fairies actually do all day? Can't they be sent out to work like the rest of us?
Another question:
Do fairies have human Godmothers?????
A lovely, light-hearted poem from a lady with many talents.
Best wishes
Lawrie

Once again, very nice poem. "A flight of Fancy" perhaps. Love the picture. But here's a thought, are all Faeries made by God. Were some not reputed to be evil. Indeed in Scotland, the Faeries were traditionally feared, not all of them, but certainly some. In the Gaelic culture they are taken quite seriously, and have earned the reputation somewhat the same as Gremlins. Although, some were blamed for unexplainable deaths. Like cot death in Babies for instance.
But in the main,it is the "good fairy" that seems to pervade children's literature.
Some adult literature as well of course, I suggest you read the novel called "Once" by James Herbert. OOhh, it's quite racy though, and has a good bit of rather evil goings on. But goodness prevails in the end. You will enjoy it, i promise you.

I have often wondered this very thing, and I love your conclusion:
perhaps God needs more than saints up above.
I think you're right! Great poem.

I enjoyed this poem very much. It is fun and happy. So true that we need all kinds of people to make our world complete. Each one has special qualities that enrich our lives and our world. Thanks, Jeanette

I love Fairies!! In reality if I m not mistaken, fairies are not mentioned in the bible, but as nice as they are, maybe they should be! Whimisical creatures that they are, I enjoyed countless stories about them. This is a good one

What a fun idea- I love the idea that God created fairies to have fun, to flutter and fly without a care - what a great way to symbolize fun, too!
: ) Enjoy your day-
