I love the photo at the beginning. I've never seen it before, but what a wonderful handout to give people or leave in public places. It's a great way to get attention and to offer people answers to real struggles.
The message in your story is very timely as the internet, TV, psychics and other "answer offerers" are quick to tell you what they think, which, like Satan offers, are half-truths infused with scripture to make them seem legitimate.
Thanks for the message,
Rhonda

Indeed we do. God is real, and so many people don't realize that and try so many different ways to find what is right in front of them if they will jus humbled themselves.

Hi Deniz22,
This cautionary piece of non-fiction is God-inspired and well-written. I especially liked the "yellow pages" listing of helpful Bible verses you provided. Christians nowadays have become too reticent about sharing their faith. Our own sitting President feels he must cover the cross before speaking at Christian universities, for fear of offending others. Thank you for writing this. Amen to everything you said here. Please do more.

Very well written. Easy to understand the significant meaning of this. Reminds me of a poem I once posted on this site that contains the two lines "Cast your vote for Jesus. Keep your eyes on Calvary". Held interest throughout. Write on.

Love your short story here my friend about avoiding strange teachings. I completely agree with your analogy of Christianity, about Christ died for our sins, and is the only one who could have done that. Thank you for sharing this truth from the gospel with us all.

I agree largely with your view of Christ and what He has done for us. But your writing appears more like a sermon than an expository of why we should avoid false teaching which is your thesis statement. I would expect you to bring out evidence from the Word to substantiate your contention.
"Reached us in our lostness"
sinfulness would be a better substitute.

I think your reply indicates a hasty reading, as you are (in my view) giving contradictory opinions. What's wrong with writing a sermon? And yet you ask for more Bible references? Actually there were two verses in view as the basis for this sermon and you allude to only one. So I suggest a reread and at a slower pace.

Amen to this well written piece. I had to find this out the hard way. I grew up in church but was never taught to have a relationship with God. This coupled with a childhood of abuse, left me searching for some way to stop all the pain. I tried everything else and nothing worked. I finally fell to my knees and reached out for God. He came in like a flood and healed me. Now, He is using me to work with abused women. God is so Amazing! I am a true testament that staying with God and not getting carried away is the best way for a person to go.

G'day Dennis. This is another very well written and knowledge filled story from the master teacher. The other thing that the unenlightened folk don't realize is that the Bible apart from being the truth and the only way to live, is a very entertaining read. Well done Sir.
One spag I think...
"Him now, one day all will own(know) He is, indeed, God."
Cheers Fez

There is a fallacy that there are many roads t o salvation but they lead to the same place. However, we know that there is only one road that leads us there. like you have stated-Jesus is the way, the truth. and the life
Strong message for those who might read

Yours is #15 in comments and not one negative one yet. It's surprising to me who does comment sometimes...thank you for reading and better yet, trusting Jesus alone for salvation! God bless, Dennis
