Nicely done. You never know these days who you can trust.
She may have been there watching who had the most lettuce stashed. There's an abundance of bunnies where I live too.
Someone told me every seven years or so rabbits get some
kind of malady that kills them off. Then , by seven years,
the cycle repeats. There's a lot to be said about seven year cycles.

You did a beautiful job with this Haibun. The prose is just so serene and uplifting leaving the reader with a big bunny smile. The closing 5-7-5 sums it all up wonderfully. Nicely done and I thank you so much for sharing this with me.

Hi mermaids, this is a wonderful tale you have given us here my friend, how many towns these days can boast a rabbit as a resident, thank you for sharing.

Such a comfort to read -- when all we hear is economic doom. It looks like the editor was messing with your message. If you edit by hitting enter to add a couple of lines of white space after your prose it should line the haiku right.

It is for sure there is a shortage of coyotes, Bob Cats, and foxes there if the bunnies are plentiful. Even the eagles must be short. Thanks for sharing. Shalom.

Cape Cod? Nice. Been to Martha's Vineyard, but not Cape Cod (yet). An interesting story with a good meaning.
Bouncing, baby bunny hops past the front door of the financial institution -- No comma.
lawn mower -- One word.
She is tiny and perfectly formed, long ears and poofy cottontail. -- Need space after comma.
My funds maybe -- My funds may be low
nature comes to us -- Nature

I feel sad for the wild animals who are running out of habitats due to «progress». They are running out of wilderness. I like your reference to the bunny as «God's small soul.»

Thank you for sharing your experience. It made me stop and contemplate how simple life can be if only we allow it to be so. However, the bunny has just as many dangers to face. Nice job.

What a charming little tale this is, and it's true. I love how you tried to get inside of the mind of the bunny, comparing it's concerns with yours. Very whimsical! Hugs, Lou
