A Terza Rima for the Potlatch Challenge

Savoring the Nectar

by June Sargent

Instead of wasting moments counting time,
I'll savor all the nectar I can find,
like butterflies in search of the sublime.

I need to leave my doubts and fears behind,
to flutter through the fields beyond the gate,
where hopes and dreams are firmly intertwined.

Though dreams don't have an expiration date,
procrastination keeps them in a jar
like butterflies - in time they suffocate.

So, on the road I'll travel near and far,
with music in my heart and in my soul,
embracing all - including the bizarre.

With open eyes and mind I'll take that stroll.
Embrace life to the fullest - that's my goal.
