My Baby

Light My Fire in Satire

by Sally Law

I knew you were the one

as soon as we kissed;

warming me with heat

when my knee hit

the car cigarette lighter.

Flames burst upon your shirt

and danced upon my hair.

My ruby-red lips melted all over.

An inferno of love--literally.

Blazing good fun, my love.

The fire still burns today, baby.

I'm still married to the keeper of the flame.
