Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
A double Nonet for the ninth of January

Higher Ground

~~~~~~~
Surrounded by the cares of my life,
I called the Lord, my Rescuer.
Troubles chased me, closing in.
I searched for higher ground,
A place undisturbed
To hide myself.
He led me
To the
Rock.
~~~
Hands
Strong and
Sure found mine.
He came--running,
Through the torrid heat
And flames driven by winds.
My dried world--a tinderbox,
As white-hot flames danced all around.
Reaching down, He pulled me to safety.
