Exceptional

This work has reached the exceptional level

Ticking sins off my list.

Delighting In Devilish Deeds

How come the sins are deadly?

I so enjoy the medley.

I check that list of seven –

I’ll never enter Heaven!

Because…

I’m an unholy sinner,

a winner and a grinner.

All this immorality

is like food and drink to me.

I enjoy my GLUTTONY,

my voracious tendency.

So just load up my big plate,

I do think it’s really great

to have so much more and more

and not keep a silly score.

Your dullish sermon on SLOTH

incurs my indignant WRATH,

for how slowly I can glide

fills my evil heart with PRIDE.

As I tick off ev’ry sin

I just smirk and drool and grin.

My truly decadent GREED

does display my urgent need

for hot saucy, sinful LUST–

I relish that throb and thrust!

My loins have a burning fire

to touch that rim of desire.

I can laugh and I can joke

but I think that I smell smoke!

However…

There’s a sin left on my list

and it’s one I do resist:

I don’t ENVY anyone –

they’re not having this much fun!

One day I’ll pay the prices

for these capital vices...
but so far that day is still miles away

and my lack of regret hasn’t killed me

yet!
