The Plow

by Zue65

farmer's plow
forgotten farmer's plow

reddish brown
corroded more by time

around it
fallen leaves lay rusted

corrosive hue
of steeled inaction

the farmer's plow
mankind's
outdated plow

I cannot find an old rusting picture of a plow almost covered with decaying leaves that will complement this poem. Finally, I decided to change the previous image from Bing with a better one, courtesy of my poet-friend Dean Kuch. Thanks to you dear friend.
Before the modern farm implements that we have today, the primitive farmer's plow used to be a dependable tool in farming. Out of necessity, the plow had become an antiquated relic among many farmer's households. This piece is meant to elicit varied deeper interpretations of course.
