looked out of his window at the big bright moon.
A pumpkin picked from a neighbors yard
was carved today, mom and dad worked hard,
to put a big grin on it's face,
on the front porch it was carefully placed.
By all who walked past, it could be seen,
just sitting and waiting for Halloween.

waited patiently and soon,
his mother took him out to shop,
a Halloween costume is what they bought!
His favorite superhero of all time,
Robert's batman costume fit him just fine.
Carefully folded so he wouldn't tear it,
Robert could hardly wait to wear it!

went Trick or Treat under the big bright moon.
His mother and father took him around,
to make sure he was safe and sound.
His paper sack was filled with treats,
that Robert couldn't wait to eat!
"But dinner first." his mother said,
"some candy, then it's off to bed."

couldn't get to sleep in his cozy bedroom.
He thought about all that he had seen,
and the fun he had on Halloween.
Scary ghosts and frightful sights,
still swirled in Robert's head that night.
But soon Robert was warm and asleep in his bed,
While dreams of Trick or Treating filled up his head.
