Fright night and marshmallows

Campfire churning's

by DALLAS01

Bit by broken bit-
a
a menacing puzzle emerges;
camp fire fun
morphs craftily
on
the raven black heels
of
the story-teller.

Trepidation teases
brash bravado,
undermining the solidarity
of
bug-eyed children.

Muffled
paranoia squirms inside
rustlings and ramblings
beneath and beyond
their grasp;
as
peculiar impressions pucker
the moist, porous soil
leaving imprints
on
their collective souls.
