Fairytales With A Twist Contest Entry

Jack and the Beanstalk

by Ogden

Jack was athletic and strong.
You'd never guess what would go wrong.
He climbed up that beanstalk with stealth,
For the giant's source of gold wealth.
When he slid down the stalk and got back,
His mom chewed him out with this crack,
"Jack, you are strong, but so dumb!
Your brain must be down in your bum!
I sent you up there for a goose;
Why are you so goddam obtuse!?
The next time you steal, make a note:
Gold eggs don't get laid by a goat!"

Fairy tales... with a twist! contest entry

I hope you enjoyed my version of Jack and the Beanstalk.
Thanks for taking the time to read it.

(The moral of the story is, "Size Isn't everything." A goose that lays golden eggs is better than a goat.)
