A best friend till the end

Tilly Bell

by Abby Wilson-hand

She road in the truck every day at
the shop she would play.
A dog with a great big heart, today
as ours has fallen apart.
For we had her for nine long years, sure
enough we shed our tears.
We will miss her beautiful eyes and face, she'd
ride up in that truck with grace.
To the station she would go, to fill her
belly with doughnut holes.
Spoiled rotten by her dad, to look at
him he's oh so sad.
With tears in his eyes he'll miss her so,
no one to ask do you want to go.
I lay with her on the floor, asking God
for just a little more.
The phone had rang it was her dad, all of
a sudden she didn't seem so sad.
She lay her head back in my arms, all
of a sudden I was alarmed.
For there she lay no soul inside, in just
a split second I started to cry.
I screamed for her to wake up, in no
way was there such luck.
That voice she heard on the phone just
knew it was time for her to go home.
Up to heaven as a bright new star, just
know in our hearts you are not far.

This dog was the smartest and best dog ever we had an amazing 9 long years with her, she road in the truck every single day with her dad. She followed him every where he went if he stopped quick she would run into the back of his legs she was a good kid.
