My heart and soul...

I had just broken up with my narcissistic ex
Whose prime hobby was to have full-fledged unfaithful sex
He was a pathological liar and a compulsive cheat
Where ever he could, he would try to turn up the heat

After getting rid of him I made a solemn oath
I would never sell my heart or soul and definitely not both
It was then my friend suggested to fix me with a blind date
Knowing not this would eventually seal my eternal fate

When we got together for chance the very first time
I didn't think he was my type at all or my immediate crime
But when he spoke, he sent a quiver down my spine
It was then I realized he would be forever bloody mine

He asked me what my faults were as they weren't plain to see
I replied that I have schizophrenia as a vital part of me
However he said: "No, I meant what was wrong with you?"
"As your illness is only richness in this crazy world we adhere to".

I couldn't ask for anything else but for someone to understand my mind
And you shook my universe respecting my whole being and treating me in kind
