Mirroring

by HarryT

Retired now, children grown
I can’t believe it’s me in the mirror
in our refurbished bathroom
Thinning silver hair, skin a little sallow
Once gleaming eyes no longer so bright
Lines on my face etched by some regrets
But thankful now for the soft glow of happiness
