This work has reached the exceptional level
Sadly, love does not seem to last.

Why did our love die?

by sue133

What happens when the honeymoon is over?
The honeymoon of a new relationship.
It was so fresh and so wondrous
Every day was a new experience.
We had such passion you and I
The chemistry between us was tangible
We could not take our hands off one other.
Lovemaking was continuous
And our bodies and hearts were united.
Our minds were attuned.
We really loved one another.
Bliss continued for nearly a year.
What happened?
We began to see things in one another that we did not like.
We had disagreements,
At first about unimportant things.
Then the disagreements became quarrels,
Then the quarrels became fights,
Then the fights finally split us apart.
All that love, all that passion, all that hope
Cracked and broken without hope of mending.
How can such deep love die?
Why can't love last for a lifetime?
