My 75 word story.

Return to Sender

by Sharon Meda

During a time when my girls were little, money was scarce, and we had to cut out all excess spending.

Colleen, my oldest, came to me one day with a letter she had received from her Grandma the day before. The envelope flap was taped shut, and she had scrawled across the front 'RETURN TO SENDER'.

"What's this?" I asked.

"I'm saving a stamp."

I took my girls out for ice cream that very afternoon.
