Gracias in Spanish
Merci in French
Danke in German
Doh je in Mandarin
Grazie in Italian
Efkaristo in Greek
Aakoon in Cambodian

Thank you, dear teachers, for Spanish instruction
Thank you, book writers, for your dedication
Thank you for all our different tongues
Thank you in Greek for the Eucharist
Thank you in Cambodian, I learned a few years ago
When I spoke the word, Asian faces lit up with a happy glow

All around the world, this little word "thanks"
Can close up hostile ranks

I thank you
Thank you for being you
