Au Revoir

by Dolly'sPoems

Au Revoir

Your touch may be a bit too much,
I have to leave this day;
I see the night, my cold dark plight,
Alone in this affray.

My heart will yearn for safe return,
To see your beaming grin;
I briefly leave, my soul will grieve,
As I feel you deep within.

The sun will set on where we met,
My spirit is still there;
I leave my heart, as I depart,
Until again we share.

As now I know, your ambient glow,
Brings great joy to me;
Without you there, I lose my flair,
The ability to see.

You soothe my mind, I am not blind,
My vision will take flight,
You stroke my soul to make me whole,
My Robin Hood, my Knight.

I'll be true to our rendezvous,
A date I will not miss;
I shall pray for no delay,
And wait for your sweet kiss.

I shall be soon visiting England for a short while to see my family and will be leaving my dear friend behind.

The photo was taken by me in Les Carroz, France on Christmas Day 2011.
