A mental and physical union. 101 words
Lost in the fog.
by DALLAS01
I had no idea how long I had been lying on the bank. It must have been for some time because the blood that had seeped from the gash on the back of my head was beginning to coagulate.
Dusk hovered, and the sinister fog that stretched its eerie cloak over the water shrouded whatever lay across the shore. In the distance, I could hear dogs barking. Everything was so damn foggy. Someone must have sent out a search team. Thank God, I sighed.
But when I tried to stand and tripped over the hack-sawed shackles, the fog began to lift.
