The Needs Of Children

who hears them
when they cry out for knowledge

is their world
full of happiness or tears of sadness

will they hear
words of love to fill their hearts

can you see
their hopes and dreams for tomorrow

what can we do
 

we can share our boundless knowledge
we can wipe their tears with smiles
we can fill their hearts with love
we can give them dreams full of hope

This is only the fourth poem I've written all year. I was sitting at work watching Kindergarten eat their lunch and this came to me.
