Sleep Deeply, Dear

Sleep Deeply, Dear

How is it that I hate you?
Oh, let me count the ways!
You lied and cheated on me
all our married days.

You disrespected efforts,
unless they were your own -
accused me of transgressions -
those sins of yours alone.

When I would try to touch you,
you'd slap away my hands,
and when I'd say, "Let's party,"
you'd scorn my happy plans.

So yes, I learned to hate you.
I suffered for too long.
My loyalty was nothing,
and all I did was wrong.

Our 'friend' won't know what hit her -
I sure don't plan to say.
We'll have a lunch together,
and when she turns away

she'll get what's so deserved,
a sprinkle in her food.
A little dash of ricin
in bean soup I have brewed.

Your cheating days have ended;
you have no bloody shame.
My best friend, like a sister,
enticed to play your game...

You'll fall asleep this evening
in front of our TV:
some ketamine was added
to your after-supper tea.

I've made these plans to show you
I know a thing or two.
Death by a thousand cuts, my Dear
is what I've planned for you.
