Another Cinderella

by Clockwise

Another Cinderella singing in a minor key,
She winked her eye, then sold the lie, I eagerly believed.
How could her hand, so soft and warm, hold on to all that ice?
Love, she knew, was almost never worth that kind of price.
Even though her story now may lack a joyful laughter,
You know that fairy tales, like hers, end happily ever after.
