Windy, rainy autumn morning

Autumn Rain

by HarryT

Stripped by sickle winds naked branches
shudder and gaze at yellow-brown leaves
twirling their way down to tawny lawns
later raked in heaps along parkways

Burning bushes immolating with autumn flame
Umbrellas dance along to the school bus stop
Put on my raincoat, ready myself to walk
outside my door into sheets of windy rain
