This work has reached the exceptional level
Just musing about how good life is . . .

The World is Mine . . .

by Dolly'sPoems

The World is mine . . .

I've protested and been tested,
But always stood my ground;
Revolution my solution,
My ties will be unbound.

I'll not be silent or be violent,
But will speak loud and clear;
I will be heard, publish my word
May even shed a tear.

My presence here, I loved you dear,
My mark will stain the page;
And I will wave, beyond the grave,
And stand upon this stage.

The ageing trees, in gentle breeze,
Are whispering my name;
I saw it all and I recall,
Their fight to still remain.

I saw the traps, fell in the gaps,
Fell fowl of careless men,
I rose above, and gave my love,
Recorded with my pen.

Survived the troughs, brushed off the moths,
The sacrifice I made;
The blows, the lows and dark shadows,
To shine and never fade.

I shone my light, and fought my plight,
To win a seat in here;
This world is mine, I built my shrine,
Loved every single year.

And when the sun sets on the day,
The night will take my soul;
A spec of dust on this earth's crust,
And life was just a stroll.
