THE SWIM

Life's river is long, the river is wide
But it will bring me back to you
I ride the currents and battle the tide
You're the one who I pursue

I know as I get closer here
With every stroke I take
It will become perfectly clear
Why this journey I partake

But my will is very strong
I'll never give up my quest
In my arms, you do belong
I know your love's the best

Life's river's deep just like my love
You always give me purpose
I'll always keep my head above
My head above the surface

And when I reach you at the end
Where the river meets the sea
It's my love for you which I extend
It's where I want to be
