The terrible, terrible day!

by Possummagic

I had the worst day of my life today,
so there's no convincing me of anything, like
every cloud has a silver lining.
Look closer, examine it clearly;
when I scrutinise it,
I find that we're living in a screwed-up world.
No matter whether
I have a happy day once in a while,
true happiness never lasts.
Never-the-less, it's never the case that
what I feel is all in my head
because
I can obtain true happiness if I try,
but only if I'm in the right place at the right time.
I can't say that good exists;
I'm positive I can get agreement on that.
A reality check
inspires
the perspective inside my head.
It spins totally out of control,
and I doubt that even If I lived a billion years, I would never say...
it was a great day today,

(Now read it from bottom to top)

I borrowed the structure of this poem that I found on Facebook and rewrote it all in my own words. I love the way it gives one message which when reversed give you the opposite message. Edited.
