Lucky Day

by Boogienights

My numbers came up,
can this really be true?
It's time to start thinking about what I want to do.
I'll keep on working, they say it's good for you...
PSYCH!
Quitting my job is the first thing I'll do!

How can I work when the whole world waits for me?
So many new foods to taste,
wonderful sights to see...
Time can be fleeting,
so I must start today.
I'll turn in my ticket and be on my way.
I'll throw a big party for my friends to say adieu,
seems like I have quite a few more friends then I used to!
I'll probably buy a new car for my brother,
and the biggest mansion I can find for my mother!
I might buy a ferrari, I've always liked fancy cars.
Or perhaps I'll reserve a seat on a future flight to Mars.
But wait!!!
I've just remembered that trip is one way.
I'll probably have some money left to spend,
so I think I'd better stay.

As good as all this sounds to me,
as lucky as I turned out to be,
the truth is that I've always been rich,
in loyal friends and a loving family.
Money is great, but it doesn't equal what I've already got.
That being said,
want to go help me pick out a yacht?
