Remembrence
Rest in Peace
They both left this world
taking a part of my heart
to glory with them.
I will forever remember
what kind and gentle people
they both were.
She was the mother of five
he the father of two
she lived ninety-nine years
and he was ninety.
He was a military man
through and through
he loved his wife Pat
and his two children.
Both touched my life
and gave me hours
in conversation with them
learning from their wisdom.
Both passed on to glory
this past Easter Sunday
and the loss I feel is great.
