Shall We Dance?

by RodG

She dances in my arms tonight,
Her face so close I simply stare.
Averted gaze, but eyes alight,
Long-lashed beneath her dark red hair.
Lips smirk at me with coy delight.

We dance while friends converse, drink wine,
Enjoying waltzes, each divine.

Demure in gown with flaring skirt
As white as pristine Swiss Alps snow,
Nadine, la femme, does love to flirt.
Captive am I, her smitten beau,
Ensnared by charms and wiles covert.
