Life

Ezekiel's Wheel

by Delahay

Waiting as time goes by
Hoping all is still the same
Praying
there're no tears to cry
Knowing no one is to blame

Life is just a speed bump
Between the cradle and the grave
I wish I had the guts to jump
I'd probably just be saved

No sidewalk, but the highway's paved
I'd like a new life, you want to trade?
There's a place for you the preacher raved
Seek out another soul to save

I tripped on the headstone of a grave
Upon my knees, I tried to pray
I begged the Lord, my soul, to save
I was lost with no words to say
