A near rhyme poem for a dare

A chapter in the book 2017 Poems

Clouds

by Gypsy Blue Rose

We’ll lie together in fields of blue.

I’ll let my hair down—kick off my shoes.

You’ll lay your jacket o’er morning dew,

we’ll watch the clouds go by, amused.

Blue Beard flows near Caribbean rocks

followed by elephants in bright blue socks

our home, a love-filled, seashore box

ideas take wing on seaside walks.

Dr Dip challenged me to write something other than haiku so there you go. This is as close to rhyme poetry I am going to get.

It's a whimsical poem about my boyfriend and I watching clouds go by and imagining what they are. :)

Thank you for reading,

Gypsy
