Circle of Friends

As the pebble drops into the water
a ripple forms and then another,
endless continuing circles.
Each circumference larger than the last.

A man and woman's heart encircle,
love grows, blooming and sustaining each.
A birth causes their parallel lines to undulate,
stretching forward, producing an additional ripple.

As the circular dimensions move and multiply,
the continuum embraces past and present,
reaching, until crossing over another,
blending all and enriching its essence.

Looking from this vast circle of life,
the eras of long ago to this moment,
no two alike, no need of judgement,
acceptance and love, the common thread.

From life's first moment to the final breath,
blessed by the miracles within the circle,
Pursuers of kindness and love, providing
peaceful harmony, encompassing all humanity.

At the time of retirement, I believed the friends I had made up to that time, would be my circle. God had a different plan. I believe he puts people in your pathway for various reasons. I am so blessed because He sent rays of sunshine to help me through my rainy season.
