Tofu is a poor excuse for food, if you ask me.
To say that it is even food is complimentary.
Us “Southerns” know about good food—yes sir, indeed we do,
And on a Southern menu you will never see tofu!
 
There’s shrimp and grits and biscuits, and a glass of nice, dry wine
There’s firm home-grown tomatoes, freshly picked right off the vine;
With tasty food available, please tell me why would you
Ever even think about ingesting bland tofu?
